If your business uses Apple products you have undoubtedly heard a lot about the new IOS 9.1 system. The new technology is just a couple of months old and came out to mixed reviews. Users love some of the new features, but the operating system has many bugs and various kinks that Apple is still trying to work out.  You may be wondering if you should join the many people who have upgraded to the new system or if you should hang back and see what happens to everybody else.

One reason you may want to consider upgrading to IOS 9.1 is that it has corrected a lot of the issues that came up with the IOS 9.0. IOS 9.0 had some major issue with E mails such as not displaying the correct amount of unread emails, users not being able to remove certain contacts from email and not being able to perform certain searches within email. IOS 9.1 has corrected each of these issues.

If security is a major concern for you the IOS 9.1 has some really great security technology. The system comes with 24 security patches. A security patch is intended to correct vulnerability to hacking or viral infection.

If your business uses a lot of live photos on its Facebook or Instagram page you can improve those photos right away with IOS 9.1. The new system offer a way for an amateur photographer to capture action photos such as a tree blowing in the wind without having to do anything other than point and shoot. You can give photos you take to promote your business a professional look, without the expense of a professional photographer.

The new technology does not come without its problems. If you are into jailbreaking, you may not want to download IOS 9.1. just yet. Jailbreaking is the process of hacking a system to bypass DRM restrictions, the practice allows you to run “unauthorized” software and to make other alterations to your operating system. There is currently no way to jailbreak on the new system.

If you use Wi-Fi to connect to the internet, you may want to hold off on using the new technology. There have been some reports of the new system refusing to connect to a router and experiencing frequent disconnects. There have also been reports of Facetime dropping in the middle of a conversation, which is something you do not want to happen if you are talking to a client.

If you are looking to conserve batteries, IOS 9.1 may not be the technology for you. There have been many complaints of battery drainage soon after the IOS 9.1 upgrade. Although Apple offers tips for avoiding this problem and increasing battery life by deleting certain apps, you may want to just wait until Apple realizes this problem is costing them money and they have to fix it.
